I grew up as a complete media ignoramus. No TV, few friends, parents who were equally ignorant of pop culture. I'm afraid that pop culture references before the turn of the millennium are going to be completely lost on me.

I know who Bambi is (though I've never seen the movie), because I've had to get to know the animated film industry. But those other names mean nothing.

It's official. I mailed the paperwork today, so I think I'm clear to say it. I've leased my soul to EA Tiburon, starting next December.

The thought still makes me sick, but at this point I hope it doesn't go away. It'll scare my ass into doing what's necessary.

December 2009 or 2008?    I hope you enjoy your stay in Orlando if that is when you begin work.   I just drove through Orlando yesterday to visit my parents at a tax seminar (Dad was doing some continuing education thing with the IRS at the Marriott) and then headed to Miami to spend some time with my brother today.   Downtown Disney was insane, their damn hotel was too damn close to that mess.
