i dunno much about all that, but there's still a difference
if someone signs me up to a spam list on one of my email accounts, i don't care that much
sure, it will be irritating, but i have all the emails i want to keep saved elsewhere and printed off
i have several email accounts

whereas sticking your IP address up for a load of people to see, and practically advertising that you're doing that (which is effectively what we're doing when we sign up, as everyone knows about the admin stuff) can cause problems less easy to deal with

I contend that anyone who knows enough
to harm you with an IP address, can probably
GET the thing a lot more easily than they can
manage to harm you.

I know. I just can't see the difference.
The objections made me think about it,
a bit. And, I'm not going to pander to something
which doesn't make sense. IF I thought they were

tbh i dunno if it would be worth it, making it so IPs werent visible to admins
i don't think enough people will be bothered about it
i will probably rejoin again either anonymously at first, or using a proxy, eventually, if everything's still going
