One thing stories like this are light on, is details.

I mean how does this happen. People don't just turn aroind and decide to do something like this, there is always indicators, and parents just ignore them. Did the parents have some sort of duty of care for this young girl that included monitoring the 18 yo's behaviour and history in context?

This is what happens I guess when there is little parental involvement and supervision and a lack of anything resembling a proper sexual education.

Maybe it strikes too close to home for me because my daughter was physically abused by her special education teacher.  She put soap in my daughter's mouth and she tried to choke her.  I wish that I had the power to assure that she would never be in a position to harm children ever again, but she is still a special education teacher as far as I know.  My husband and I saw her the other day in a restaurant we were about to go into with our daughter.  We didn't want our daughter to see her and be upset, so we turned around and left.

Paedophiles have a rehabilitation rate of less than 0.1%.   They almost always go back to molesting children.   That is why the psychologist in our building now refuses to see child molestors as patients.    She says they always minimize the situation and make excuses, and she has never seen one honestly make a turn around.   IMO they are perfectly good candidates for execution.

They can molest kids even if they are sterilized.   All sterilization does is ensure they don't impregnate someone.   Castration only ensures that they can't molest with their genitals (they still have their hands).   Penal colonies are a waste of money.   Why spend money keeping someone like that alive?   IMO it is better to kill prisoners who are going to spend life in prison anyways.   A bullet only costs a few cents, I will shoot them for free myself.

The fuckers are too happy in prison: they have no worries about paying rent, keeping a roof over their head and are guaranteed meals everyday.

Penal colonies don't have to be a waste of money.
Sterilization so that they can't make their OWN children
to molest. Strikes me as more humane than killing.

Though, I'd offer them that option. Along with any prisoner.
