Ate this dish p/m 3 hours ago. It's halibut (a fillet) with fries (tadski of mayo) and a salad.

(was nice.. )

Yesterday, I had the first real gorgeous autumn meal of the year.
Brussels sprouts with chestnuts. (and potatoes and cheese sauce and such)

The chestnuts are huge and very sweet this year.

Absolutely delicious.
I can do upside down chocolate moo things!

Cabbage and pork with sweet potatoes

Yeah, I know MLA.. and I'm sorry for the calf and the other animals that I am partly responsible for that get slaughtered for us meat-eating omnivores but I most likely will never stop eating meat. Chapeau, you don't.. but I just love it too much. Love preparing meat too.

And yes, CBC.. made it two days ago and just take a little bit (out of the fridge) whenever I fancy some. It's made from a 'goudreinet'.. um, Bramley's Seedling (?).. a fine apple for applesauce and also apple pie, I thought.

I thought it looked too chunky and homestyle to be store-bought.    My mother
used to make applesauce once in awhile.  I think she used anise seed, it was delicious!

Ah, that's a good tip.. anise seed. Don't have 'em in the house but going to look for some soon.. for ja, I like the taste of them very much so. Thanks.

Um, can I say.. I think it's a bit of a shame you don't cook more often, CBC (for yourself, I mean).. it's a brilliant hobby. Well, suit self ofc.. but it brought me a LOT of good.

I may start yet.  I'm getting tired of microwave dinners.  ;)

Really hope you do (not pushing here). Start small, step by step, with simple dishes maybe. Perhaps give making applesauce a chance.. it's very easy and takes only 10/15 minutes. Plus, it tastes way way better than the stuff bought in a supermarket.

Shall I explain the process how to make it here? I could.. but ja, also.. the internet is full of recipes a/o 'how to make' certain food.

If you post it here, I will be less likely to lose the recipe.  :)

Double portion of king prawns in black pepper sauce. Lol...the one the local chinese does, the sauce is bloody rocket fuel.

Got a whole load of jars full of pickled green and black olives for after too, some lamb's navy rum, and cold beer. Perfect :)

CBC...i will only eat those MW readymeals if i am desperate. They are always full of unwholesome shite, and the portions are SO stingy. I'd have to eat about 4 of most of them to fill up. Had a lasagne not long ago, that was all some sort of white, creamy slime, and tomato sauce. Threw it out after two bites of limp, flavorless pasta.

Can't beat a nice home cooked hot dinner. Although the local takeout is great.
Beyond the pale. Way, way beyond the pale.
