Just ate a big bowl of cranberry, apple, date and apricot muesli.

I had roast beef and yorkshire pudding at my mums.

It was very yummy.

One of my favourites. I love roast beef, being the obligate carnivore that I am. I'll happily polish off entire sunday family lunch-sized roasting joints.

Mmmm yes. Although I love roast chicken too. My folks often do a chicken (in the oven!), and only ever eat a breast between two. Which suits me, means I get the other one, both the legs, and the slippery, moist bit thats just behind the legs when one cuts them open.

I like mine to be cold though, and covered with tabasco habanero sauce

Pizza, chips, tomato salad and chocolate ice cream, some flavored cheerios.  About to make a toasted chicken salad sandwich.

^ Oeh lekkerrr..

Lekker too.. was this pizza I just made myself. (I tell ya). Well, it's a very simple and fast one but ja, nice also.

(with a tomato sauce mixture (with garlic, oregano, salt und pepper through it), artichoke hearts, shallot, bl. olives, spinach, mushrooms and three cheeses freshly grated on top)

Still do something wrong concerning the pizza base/bottom (?) but at least it's very crunchy. Do like that.

Oooh, now I am craving artichoke hearts, and, as far as I know, the local Spar doesn't have them.

^ Spar? Ah noes.. you pay too much for your groceries, I'm afraid. Not sure but think that supermarket is one of the most expensive around.

Shame.

I go to the Dirk for the most basic stuff (they even had fresh artichokes a while ago/was nice but.. I didn't know it took that long to prepare them properly). Well, no wine, meat, fish, bread and/or cheese I get from there though.

Artichoke hearts out of a can go for €0.99 at the Dirk, btw. €2 (fartin').49 at the Jumbo. I must be careful with the acid water they come in. That stuff can fuck my tummy up like.. ja, something. Trick is (blahiah ), as soon as I purchased them, to throw away the acid water and put them in fresh water (in een weckpot, in my case).

Um, going to get some bread and wine from the Jumbo in an hour (?).

Made courgette (or zucchini?) soup half an hour ago and ate a bowl, with some grated Gruyère on top, of it. Just finished it. Had a nicely ripe peach earlier too.

Jeeh, is that all I ate today?

The Spar is expensive in a lot of things, but, when I take travelling expenses into account, it will have to do. It does have it's advantages though. They do have some nice very local offers. I like that local stuff, and they have percentage wise more fair trade and organic stuff than other supermarkets too. But, yes, expensive.
After work, on Wednesdays, I take a detour via the Aldi to the bus station. Travelling expenses are being paid by my employer, so, I can fully benefit from the lower prices. But, their range of products isn't limitless.  :P

Thank goodness, this village has a good place to buy bread. More than half of all the bread I buy gets eaten without any topping, my girls keep snacking on the stuff. At a young age I told them that bread and fruit were almost always free to take. And, they still do that.
