Sausage, peppers and onions on a grinder roll and two stuffed cherry peppers

Now if anyone gets too close, you can defend yourself!   :halitosis:

(not the cornbread I chatted about earlier.. ) but just ate 2 slices of the first bread I ever made. It's not really an amazingly nice tasting bread, doesn't have that much taste, but hey.. Trial and error.. (hope) within half a year this chap can make a proper and lovely tasting bread.

Structure looks good. What don't you like about the taste?

I had spinach pie with pesto and Dana Blue. Really nice!

Sorry CBC, my kids loved it, so, no leftovers for you.

Um, no leftovers for CBC means no leftovers for me (duh). Bugger.Nah. :zoinks:

Mmmm, taste, bread.. my opinion? Although really nicely crunchy (the crust/Iz sprayed water on it during the baking process a couple of times.. that works) the taste of the breadlet was a bit blend. White bread like, I suppose.

Probably needs more salt.. plus I wish to add some sunflower seeds too next time. Well, aim is to find a recipe, a bread, that's totally fits my taste. I like the corn buns (not the flat southern US cornbread) at the Jumbo very much so. They're like pistolets (like those too) but made with a mixture of reg. flour and (proper) corn flour.

Suppose one can follow where this is going in the coming months (me making bread, I mean/posting photos/updating stuff).

(Yep, that's me using too much brackets again)(um, surry)

The salt amount does make a big difference.

I'm not someone who works with scales well, and, with bread, the quality of flour will make that you need more or less water and such too. Consistency tells more. And, once you have the amount of salt right, you'll know what the dough should taste like.

Were I to start baking again tomorrow, I think I'd have the salt amount right the first time again, because I know what the dough should taste like.

Mijn handen jeuken gewoon.

Ahhhh, the possibilities. Adding oatmeal and Caraway gives a complete different flavour and structure. (oatmeal not obligatory, but, it does change the structure a lot)

Adding just a little bit of butter or oil can make a big difference too.

The coming holidays we will be baking bread here.

My oldest daughter has an awful lot to catch up on, homework wise. Nothing better than dough to beat, to get her peace of mind back in between.

You inspired me, to go back to some good old habits.  8)

Is Dana Blue a kind of cheese?  Why did your kids eat all of it?  :'(

Cereal. I also found out I don't like Wagyu beef much when I had it in a gigantic burger. I ended up taking it out and having a vegie burger instead. I also had hot chips.
