Breakfast, and tea with a "stroopwafel".

Think I need coffee, and another "stroopwafel".

May skip lunch today, I slept in dramatically, as did the girls.

Stamppot zuurkool. (Sauerkraut, mashed with potatoes, smoked cheese and pineapple)

Except for the pineapple, it sounds delicious.  (Usually don't like fruit mixed into my meals)

Kinda ditto 'bout the fruit in meals here but this combination works perfectly. I usually add some raisins too (and some baked pieces of bacon).

Oh, Pilaf with peaches can be awesome too. (2 exceptions, I reckon)

Interesting!  Gordon Ramsay once critiqued a failing restaurant and gave the chef hell
about his invention, pomegranate risotto.  I guess fruity rice isn't for everyone!

^ Think, a lot of folks can't properly prepare a risotto. Along with pasta bolognese, I heard an Italian chef say once, those dishes are the most 'abused' he could think of.

Well, I try not to be that puritan/try to be a tadskie creative in the kitchen. Which, yeah, sometimes goes wrong (a bit).

Today I made a spicy stew with lamb's meat for dinner. With onion, garlic, courgette, carrot and cubes of potato. Ginger, curry powder, etc.

Know you work in a kitchen (somewhere) but do you like to cook for yourself too, CBC? At home, I mean.

I really don't cook much at home, am more likely to microwave.  And when I need to cook
lighter foods for a diet, I bring them to work and use the ovens and steamers available
there, since it's much faster and easier to do it there than at home.

Shame (a bit). Such a nice hobby it is, in my opinion.

Have a microwave/oven combi thing in the kitchen but hardly ever use the microwave. Don't not really have high regards towards the microwave, to be honest. Do use the oven quite a lot though.

By using the ovens at work, I can avoid the cleanup!  And it's easy!  :2thumbsup:

I agree with your two exceptions. And yes, I like raisins in my Sauerkraut, but, had forgotten that I had eaten the last of them, and, the shops were closed already.

Apple with beetroot, or red cabbage sometimes is possible too btw.

But, most experiments with fruit in meals made me not try it again.

^ Okay, apple with red cabbage is nice too. Um, might be, when I do a tadskie of searching, there are more combination (hot meal/fruit) that are okay/nice but.. (tjah)

Um, luckily we have a Jumbo here that closes at 9pm.. so when I miss something I still can get it, if wished. Thumps up for that supermarket, I say. They have a large assortment and quite good quality stuff. Does triple my bike ride though.. but hey, that's just a little bit more exercise. (Cruyffian: each disadvantage has it advantage.. or sutin')(:P)

Cheetos and Chips Ahoy. Practically whatever stash I have in my room, as I chose not to leave my room until everyone else's asleep.

Pizza. Delicious, tbh. I'm going to burn in hell for it.

Guilt, or heartburn?  Either way, sometimes it's worth it!  :pizza:

Both. And yes, it was totally worth it.
