I made some pasta dish with asparagus, mushrooms, rocket lettuce and salmon through it for dinner this evening. It tasted ¾ okay but don't think I'll make it again.

Scrambled eggs with Parmesan Cheese, fresh fruit and pancakes from IHOP.  I don't think the pancakes should have come with the meal (it was supposed to be under 600 calories), but I foolishly ate them anyway.  And my blood sugar was high as expected.  I think if you went to IHOP and ordered salt and pepper they'd plop a plate of pancakes in front of you.  Hey, plop a plate of pancakes sounds like an advertising jingle.  Maybe I should copyright it.

Anyway, tonight is rational eating.  Leftover chicken with stuffing, carrots, broccoli and cauliflower.

Agreed, but I will have to learn.  I also like the waffles from Waffle House.  At the local diner I order chocolate chip pancakes and put a little strawberry jam on them instead of syrup, awesome.  But, carbs do not do good things for my blood sugar and I guess everyone has to become an old fuddy-duddy sooner or later.

Well you could move to a place where all these dining/lunch and breakfast options out of the house aren't available.  :orly:

What do you think you will do differently next time, which ingredient will you change?   :orly:

And are they, indeed, magically delicious?  :zoinks:

Well, for starters, leave out the sauce for asparagus (you know, the add hot water or broth to it/the powder out of a package kind, I mean). It made the dish kinda heavy.

Mmmm, think I'll also leave out the asparagus, mushrooms, rocket lettuce and salmon next time. :P

Nah, dunno.. It was a first try with this dish I got from an article in a magazine.. and tbh, I'm not that big a fan of salmon 'through' warm dishes too.

Made and ate this for dinner today. Steak with potato and gravy. The veggies were paksoi (or -choi) out of the wok, with fried onion, bacon, tomato, mushrooms, ginger and lemon juice, pepper. It was really nice.  :orly:

Veggie version of bami today, with some curry rice in an attempt to make cabbage rolls. The taste was good, the rolls failed.  :asthing:
