Thanks Cuz. He's a gorgeous boy, although today he was a bit cranky at not getting his daytime sleep. His brother, who is three, was stoked with excitement and didn't want him to miss out on the festivities, and went charging into the little fella's bedroom to wake him up.  :)

I had a craving for tiny taters....potatoes in a can. Shame on me, but I did.

I'm impressed with how the 'quality' has improved. They tasted better than I remembered.

I seriously have not had them in over 15 years I think. They were good.

I also bought some tinned stew to have with them. I have no idea why. Again, not something I would have bought for over a decade.

It's funny how cravings pop up out of nowhere. I sometimes get nostalgic for stuff my mother used to make, like creamed tuna with peas on toast, even though I don't like tuna or peas! :chin:

Yum! My Mother used to make tuna in white sauce (and onions), and we'd always have it with peas and mashed potato. I crave that so much sometimes! And yet, it probably is one of her less interesting dishes, so I'm not sure why it's so close to my heart.

It's true...I really miss the simplicity of my 70s childhood, and the food was part of that time! :)

Sometimes the blander foods are so comforting!

My Bolognese again.  :viking:

Stop talking about it, Goddamn you!

It's also good on toast, then put cheese on it and grill it. Divine. Bolognaise always gets better the day or so after you make it.

I made it yesterday. Will at least last until tomorrow too, and then I put what might be over into the freezer.  :P
