I made a pear tart yesterday (or was it two days ago?) ... the kind made from pastry dough, rolled around fruit and spices, layered crisscross in a deep dish, slowly baked dark, then lightly covered in cream cheese, granular sugar and cinnamon, then lightly browned again.

... anyway, I am amazed at how the flavors and aromas have married. I DO have quite a taste for sweets these days!

Chicken soup with Spatches  (some sort of polish word for dough balls)   :finger:  My wife is of polish ancestry and my polish spelling sucks!   :finger: 

Whatever, it tastes good  and is quite delicious!   8)

No, not that, but some sort of polish phrase.  It's sort of like a Matzo ball , but polish, and as my wife has explained sort of like a cross between a dumpling and a noodle!
