I made a pear tart yesterday (or was it two days ago?) ... the kind made from pastry dough, rolled around fruit and spices, layered crisscross in a deep dish, slowly baked dark, then lightly covered in cream cheese, granular sugar and cinnamon, then lightly browned again.
... anyway, I am amazed at how the flavors and aromas have married. I DO have quite a taste for sweets these days!
Chicken soup with Spatches (some sort of polish word for dough balls) My wife is of polish ancestry and my polish spelling sucks! Whatever, it tastes good and is quite delicious!
