I've been smelling grilled ham and fried potatoes in the building this afternoon.  :orly:

Dinner was a bought imitation crab salad served on romaine lettuce with onion and tomato, Italian dressing.

Dual personality pasta: on the left is datterino pasta sauce with hot italian sausage and on the right is datterino cream sauce.
Datterinos are tiny cherry tomatoes that are especially sweet. These were on clearance at the local store. I had to peel them so it's unlikely that I will do this recipe again.

The sausage sauce had some sort of aphrodisiac effect - I would have expected that from the cream sauce, but that was merely seductive.

Cereal - Weet-Bix.

When and why did they stop calling it Weetabix?  :tard:

I don't think they've ever been called Weetabix. I do love them with hot milk and a few heaped tablespoons of sugar though.

Ren calls it Weet-bix too, IIRC. Could be an Australia (and New Zealand) thing only. Have only seen them being called Weetabix on boxes in the shops.

I awoke a bit before five thirty AM (actually I was awake-ish  and drinking water, accepting the alarmcat's everloving loving, stretching a bit when the alarm claxoned me to standing and heroically, I began my attempt to rattle together some sort of breakfast for the kids, while awaiting the much-needed coffee regimen) and I just felt it was Tuesday (New Releases at work - lots to do once I get there) and I am still more fat than I want.

I made Belgian "style" waffles for us. I use extra eggs to make them more cakey and I brown them more than a typical restaurant might.

We wake about the same way and the same time, DD. But, my cat is getting older and slower. So more and more he waits till the alarm goes off, bit before 5:30 AM, and then starts his stretching, scratching and licking routine to get me out of bed.

They have always been called Weet-Bix here. I too like to eat them as Marion describes. Best breakfast on a cold morning.

Weetabix is American. We also have Vita-Brits which confuses things further!

Salami sandwich for b'fast.

Dinner was supposed to be red beans and rice from the freezer.  When I opened it and transferred it to the pot to heat it up, turns out it was chocolate ice cream.  We store the remains of the ice cream in plastic bags to save room in the freezer.  So I had chocolate ice cream for dinner.

Later on I had left over buttered spaghetti with parsley, onion and garlic and shredded cheese.

I want to eat at your house, especially that pasta dish.  :puppy:
