Dalmatian appreciation thread

Anyone like Dalmatians?


I've always wanted one since I was 11 years old but they are too expensive and I read they are hyper dogs. Maybe that's why Pongo and Perdita met. If it weren't for his breed, he wouldn't have taken off after the bitch and her owner. Perdita wouldn't have done the same for him either if it weren't for her breed. Funny thing is I used to think they can all talk so I'd always ask when I was 6 "Does it talk?" whenever I saw a Dalmatians and the owner would say "No it doesn't talk." But thanks to them, it got me over my fear of dogs. Boy was I afraid of them when I was little because our next door neighbo's had a mean poodle and one day it bit my little brother so I thought all dogs were like that.

Dalmations are alright, they were used by fire departments in the past to accompany the fire horses (before cars).   They can be a little skittish though.   I like Akitas myself, the Japanese bear hunting dogs.   Fucking huge head and mouth on those dogs.   They are fairly intelligent as well.   Golden Retrievers and Labs are also really nice dogs.   I used to have a Miniature Schnauzer, she was a great dog as well.

Dalmatians are cut and a nice size dog I have never had one but have meet many and they seem nice.  They suffer from a number of genetic problems including deafness.  I tend to like German Shepards  myself

it was one of those lifesaver dogs.

Cats are nice but dogs serve many purposes companion and they tend to keep people away from you which is my favorite

I had a mutt that was a German shepherd / Bernese Mountain Dog and who knows what else cross when I was a kid.  She was a great dog and very intelligent.
