I caught a little glimpse of my unsigned contract for sale today (for some funny reasons the flyscreens on the windows weren't marked as an inclusion though. Maybe they're owned by the strata ???)

Oh and my mortgage broker sent away my loan and first home owners grant application :2thumbsup:

I phoned the dentist and got my appointment moved forward to this afternoon.

According to the dentist, the head/face-aches aren't being caused by anything wrong with my teeth or gums, but by muscle tension in my jaw.  Also, I apparently have rather well developed mandibular muscles.  She asked me if I worked out a lot, and I think she was wondering if the well developed mandibular muscles were the result of steroid use, but I told her that I don't, and described my long-standing issues with muscle tension and how I sometimes get injuries when a muscle keeps contracting until it damages itself.

The dentist gave me a referral to a dental hospital and told me that they'd probably probably try fitting me with a dental splint, which she also said might not help me much, since they're more for preventing tooth grinding, which I don't suffer from, and that if the dental splint didn't work, they'd prescribe a muscle relaxant.

Not something good, but something that made me laugh uproariously.  They're filming a scene for Lay the Favorite (Bruce Willis and Vince Vaughn) at the diner I frequent.  I drove by there after they had finished shooting and were striking the set.  There was a street sign next to the diner, saying "NO PARKING WHEN SNOW 2 FEET DEEP."   This was on June 6, temperature in the low 90's.  Absolutely tickled my funny bone.

Bangladeshi Woman Brought Penis To Police As Evidence
 
A 40-year-old Bangladeshi woman cut off a man's penis during an alleged attempted rape and took it to a police station as evidence, police in a remote part of Bangladesh said. The woman, a married mother of three, was attacked while she was sleeping in her shanty Saturday night, officers told AFP. "As he tried to rape her, the lady cut his penis off with a knife. She then wrapped up the penis in a piece of polythene and brought it to the Jhalakathi police station as evidence of the crime," police chief Abul Khaer said.

The woman has filed a case accusing the man -- who is also 40 and a married father of five -- of attempted rape, saying that he had been harassing her for six months. The severed penis has been kept at the police station and the rape suspect was undergoing treatment in hospital.

"We shall arrest him once his condition gets better," Khaer told AFP.

If that happened here, the police would probably arrest her for assault and attempted murder and do nothing to him.
