I was thinking of the cheap ($9 or so) old timey percolators or a cheap tea kettle rather than a cofee maker.

I will keep that in mind, thank you. I also dabbed some Neosporin inside my nose, I think it helped a bit.  :)

Yeah, that's why I've never gotten a humidifier. With any luck, just lowering the heat will help.  :thumbup:

You could get yourself a hygrometer, and if it gets too dry in your house, you will be safe to humidify the room. When it freezes outside, chance of getting your house so moist that it will get moldy are really slim. And just a bit of added water in the air may not only be helpful for your nose, but can be good for your house too. You should be able to get a hygrometer for a decent price. Online I have seen them range from $4 to $189 after a quick look. Most were between $10 and $20.

May be very appealing for a health geek. You could make graphics and charts about moisture and nosebleeds.  :nerd!:
