I finally was able to get my daughter an H1N1 influenza shot today.  They gave her their very last one.

They had a little of the nasal spray vaccine last weekend, but that's only for people with no medical issues, and they were only giving it to toddlers.

I don't particularly care whether or not I get vaccinated, but I really don't want my daughter catching swine flu, given her health issues.

The nurse who gave the shot said that H1N1 influenza seems to be decreasing here now, but they have had hundreds of kids with it over the past couple of weeks.

Was supposed to take the youngest to a birthday party of 60, 4-6 year olds and 30 adults  :zombiefuck: but she spent the whole night coughing and has a fever this morning, so she's not going.

Now, I'm not completely heartless. I feel bad that she feels crappy, and it does suck because the birthday girl is her best friend, but she must really feel like crap because when I told her we wouldn't be able to go to the party, she said okay. No tears.  :o

So the little monkey is curled up beside me in my bed reading books. :)

My shy visitor is dusting my stairs again. She has to rub all the steps completely with her head. No chance of getting cobwebs on my staircase with her regularly visiting. I love her stairs fetish.  :kitten:

It's increasing here. A million people have had their flu shots now but it seems to be a bit late to stop it now.

Seems that 95% of the flu cases here are swineflu. They are not testing all cases. No need to go to a GP. Just ride it out as a regular flu, but do call the GP for a visit the moment you think there may be complications.

My daughters good news was: "I don't need a vaccination any more."

My truck ran out of gas just as I pulled into the gas station and I rolled to a stop at the last available pump.  :green:

It was the flu she had?

She's still at home, coughing a lot, and her temperature a little high. But improving every day. She had all flu signs and exhaustion. And a 95% chance that it is Swineflu. I may call the GP this afternoon, phone consultancy on her coughing and temperature. But since she is getting more lively everyday, I think she is OK.
