or eggs.  or beans, or just about anything, really.  but not chocolate.  salt, vinegar, tomato sauce and mayonnaise are more or less obligatory, though.

or gravy - a Mancunian delicacy i thought was disgusting until i tried it (when i lived there), and then became utterly addicted to GBGs ("greasy bastards and gravy").

Leicester gave me my chips and curry habit.  bloody oop north.  ::)

mind you, we have eamonn to thank* for deep fried mars bars - utterly revolting, and utterly delicious.

(*not personally, obviously).
