Yeah she's 7 and she keeps trying to get me to have another baby cos she wants a sister.  That is so funny that she told you how you could get her a sibling  :LOL:   My mum thinks 7 is too young for her to know the 'facts of life', but I remembered when I was a kid my mum would never tell me anything (I would be going to the shop to buy sanitary towels for her and she still wouldn't tell me what they were for) and it drove me mad.

My parents had "the big talk" with me when I was about nine or ten, but I wanted my daughter to always feel that she could ask me anything, so I have had lots of little talks with her over the years.  That book, How your Body Works, has lots of other topics besides how babies are made, like the heart and circulatory system and why your body needs sleep, for example.  I think I bought it for her when she was four and we have looked at all the different things in it together.  Now more recently she reads it alone, which is fine with me too.

I've always wanted my kids to feel the same too-Caitlin has always asked a lot of questions and I have always made sure to give her honest answers (although obviously I tailor it to her level of understanding).  We have a similar book and sometimes she comes to show my stuff in it that she wants to talk about.
