So, what all did you get for your birthday?  Did you have a birthday cake with 43 candles?

I got a new car.   Really. Only, round 12 cm long and knitted.

As for other presents, I got chocolate and candles from my children, and will have something "proper", too, once the film festival is over and I'm at home for more than sleep.

The festival management turned up in the booth and I got flowers and cake.

Not quite the way I'd put it.
She pays not one lick of attention
to them. Either yawns, or makes an
unconnected cheap shot.

I like just playing with her, but she
doesn't put the effort in to be worth
including in an argument. Still has to
deal what she can out, even without
paying any attention though. Which
I don't see as reasonable, at all.
