That's not my biggest screen, either. The one in my garage is 3 meters wide. ;D

Wow, is that a projection one. I so want all these gadgets you have got, but a 3m screen would never fit into my uni room.

It's for projecting 35 and 70 mm prints. there's a six-channel Dolby system to go with it, too.

(No, not Dolby Digital 5.1; google "Dolby 6-track magnetic sound".)

Not "almost". It *is* cinema quality. It's a Dolby system that was installed in "my" theatre here in town, before we upgraded, and the projection equipment is a 35/70 mm Zeiss Favorit 70 (see picture), a projector that was commonly found in large-format venues around the civilized world.

I count the room the equipment is in as part of the acoustics (it makes me sound mean, i know), a garage isnt quite as good as a theatre. Its a bloody nice piece of kit you have there, can you fit loads of people into your garage?

Yes, you're right--a garage has some deplorable acoustic properties. I compensate by projecting a picture that is sharper and more crisp than just about everything that you've ever seen, anywhere.

It's a 12-seat theatre.

Sounds brilliant. I so wish I had one. It seems an excellent thing especially for an aspie to have.

I'm no expert on such things, but I would think the acoustics could be improved in various ways if you wanted to put in the effort and expense.  If it's the average cement floored garage, some kind of floor covering might be a good start.
