Hey odeon, how have your eyes been? I remember you were prone to infection, definitely hope not now.

It still happens but not nearly as frequently. It's been 10 years since that surgery so I guess I'm finally healing.

10 years? It's like it was yesterday.

I'd like to have surgery on my left eye. Wearing prismatic lenses has made it very lazy. When I take my glasses off it is really noticeable.

You should consider it, you're still young enough and I don't think you've had as many surgeries as I have. I remember being told that my last one would, in fact, be my last one. A lot of scar tissue and stuff, IIRC.

And yup - 10 years. Time flies.

I had six surgeries on my eyes by the time I was six. I remember the last one. They stuffed them all up and my parents weren't happy about it.

Unfortunately scar tissue was their reason for not doing more. I don't know if that would still be an issue after all this time. I was hoping it wouldn't be.

Oh well. You might want to have the eyes checked, just in case.

Hey, do you have a Swedish keyboard?

Yes. It's not that our character sets are that different - they aren't - but for whatever reason, different keyboards move lots of characters around.

I can live with a UK keymap, having worked for UK companies for a long time. I once got a laptop for a French customer with a French keyboard that was horrible. I pretty much refused to use that one and was glad to eventually hand it over to a colleague.

(I frequently get laptops from the customer I am working with because their systems will only allow me access from their hardware. Got one next to me from a US customer right now.)

It had never occurred to me that different countries had different keyboards. Well of course they would. I've seen a Japanese keyboard, wow.

I don't know if Australians get American or UK keyboards.

You'd get a US layout, apparently. I just looked it up.

That one always gets me.

How much laxatives would it take to control the Republican Populace in the United States? (Don't rule out the Irish Republican Army people... they get a free pass)

Hmm... 36 million Republicans, 30 ml or so per day. But to control them, you'd need to do this for a few days, at the very least. Let's say a week. You'd need 0.21 l per person, so 7 560 000 litres. That would do it; they wouldn't leave the house for a few days.

Of course, you'd probably need to do this regularly to keep them off the streets.

I'd focus on legislative bodies to keep the numbers manageable. I'd also consider just bringing down their voting majorities, which might ease the logistical problems.

I'd say your biggest problems have to do with distribution rather than quantities. ;D
