Short answer:  I managed to muster up enough self-esteem to realize that I didn't deserve to put up with even a fraction of the sick, fucked-up bullshit that he cheerfully inflicted upon me.  I was nicer about it at the time than I could have been because it took awhile for me to realize just how horrible, wrong and abnormal it had actually been.

Yeah, I'm basically OK.  I'm probably going to be especially unstable for the next little while, but it's due to a temporary destabilizer going on in my life.  Hopefully this does not last for more than a few months.  TY for the concern, though.  :hug:
