Is there any places you really want to visit?

Yes. France, Australia, England, Ireland, and Scotland. Maybe Italy too. I'm actually hoping I can study abroad next semester.

I hope that works out for you, it sounds like it could be assume. :) Do you have any idea where you'd like to study?

Not completely sure. I probably can't afford Australia, though I'd love to go there since I have family there. I've always wanted to go to France, but Paris doesn't have education classes in English (at least not the school that's available). However, I could go to Aix-en-province...so I'm basically thinking either southern France or England right now, or possibly Ireland.

I've taken the language on and off, but I unfortunately speak it rather poorly.

Not a question, but you should apply for the Gillman scholarship for study abroad.

I think if you're prepared to make the effort to speak it its appreciated no matter how poorly you speak it, and you have time to learn a little more if you decide that's where you'd really like to go.

No...my interest in Scotland and Ireland are mainly due to my heritage. My last name is Scottish.

Yeah, that's true. I still have my french books and maybe I can get a CD-ROM or something to work on pronunciation.

not even.

the thing about the french is that they are ingrates.  they don't appreciate the fact that americans love their wine so we bailed them out of WWII.

and the language sucks.  you have been told that it is a beautiful languge so often that you wouldn't know better, its brainwash.
they sound emo to me.
Misunderstood.
