How old were you at the time?

My mom went to Jamaica for her friend's wedding. Since she's the opposite of me (socially), she made a lot of friends there. One woman had a daughter with AS and when my mom told her about me, she said it sounded like I had it. Sometime after my mom came back (and did research on it), she insisted I had it. She took me to get an MRI of my brain, an EEG, etc. She took me to supposedly one of the best pediatric neurologists, and so I was diagnosed against my will. I was 16 at the time and didn't believe I had it.
