indeed - when everyone else in my student group (when i was doing my teaching degree-thing) knotted their brains trying to understand "in search of schrodinger's cat", i breezed through it, having more of a inclination towards things which can't be explained in "normal" ways (yet).
also, there's a school of thought which combines eastern (particularly) mysticism and quantum physics - fritjof capra's "the tao of physics", and gary zukov's "the dancing wu li masters" are two books i can think of, off the top of my head.
the easiest way i explain "magic" is by saying that everything is energy (simplistic, i kow), and that the desk your computer on isn't solid, but made up of mostly space, with teeny little things whizzing round. "magic" is just manipulation of that energy.
oh, and "quantumical" is fab!
