I don't know why I'm thinking this... but some stuff I went through 12 years ago keeps resurfacing, especially moments where I wished I did stuff differently.

How about you guys?

How about you guys?

Stuff from junior high (1962)  There's one girl I would gladly smash in the mouth with a hammer if I ever met her.  Still carry hatred in my heart for her bullying me.

Stuff I could have done better/differently/not done in my 30 year marriage.

Stuff from my parents, relatives.

Sometimes stuff like this comes up, but I think dwelling on the past is a lot like daydreaming about the future, because it detracts from the here and now. If there's something regretful about the past that can be fixed, then it makes sense you might want to try to fix it, but fix it for the here and now. Be in the present.

I forgot to vote in the poll. I voted no, even though that's when Sugarbutt and I first met and the most fun year of my life. I've never sensed my mortality, so maybe that's why I've never wished to go backwards. It might happen when I get older.  :dunno:

When I was 18 I started work at the mushroom farm. I got my driving licence the next year. It wasn't a bad time.

18 is when my heart got broken, 18 was when I was placed in TILSOH (otherwise known as SAIL), 18 was also the year of many things for me... there would be certain things I would want to relive, but the main core of it I would rather not.

If I could go back to 18 I would ditch the dude I was dating, spend a semester studying abroad, get into therapy sooner, and generally have a better time in university.

I had to look up TILSOH & SAIL. Employment program of some kind that you didn't like. Am I right?

It wasn't a good time and I'd do a root canal rather than go back, all in all.

TILSOH was my pet name for it.... SAIL was the idea that the county had for a transition program for students (no matter if they were ADD, ADHD, Autistic, Intellectually Disabled, Downs, Etc) to have their diplomas withheld until they were 22 or they found them a "job"

I hated it, because I was too self-aware and I didn't like the "one size fits all approach" with how the program was run... the lower functioning crowd or the downs individuals were easily picked on by the behavioral cases.... the program even had one student who was an RSO in the program itself. Of course the guy was a complete idiot being a retarded pedophile, so what else is new with something that is severely flawed, and pathetic.

For those of you who aren't in the states *RSO= Registered Sex Offender

This topic reminds me of the one thing in the forum news. I can't remember the exact wording, but it's about going back to a younger age to ruin life all over again differently. I have new ideas.  :lol1:
