I have been listening to some of the many Miles Davis albums I own.

Lately, it is the Fillmore work that has me in its grasp.

Prompted by DD's comment above, I did some reading about the Hawaiian man who sang "Over The Rainbow". On account of how I always really loved that version of the song as well, really beautiful and haunting, but never knew anything about the singer.

Amazing guy. I knew he was big, but apparently he was weighed at 750+ pounds at one stage. about 340 kg. That is positively enormous.

My son found him on one of his late night music explorations (the kid is always broadening my musical horizons now :laugh:)...I also had to find out more after hearing his music.

Brought up countless articles...nothing bad to be said anywhere...which is seldom anymore in this world. He sounded like he was a very special person, one who would have been a joy to meet.
