Stupid people tend to see the world in simple black-and-white terms and their prejudices are easy to manipulate. They tend to see politics as a team sport rather than as a complex set of issues.

Forcing the stupid people to vote is not the issue. They are already voting. And they are voting for other stupid people, or at least they are voting for politicians who understand how stupid people think.
