What film did ya last watch?

You've Got Mail, with Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks. It's not a bad film. Not one of the best, but certainly not bad.

What to watch next? :apondering:

I have all the Indiana Jones'. All of them are brilliant.

...Aand Book of Life, Princess Bride (I've watched it lots of times since I was little), third Hobbit film (I love LOTR and the Hobbit films).

"Snowden", by Oliver Stone. Quite good, actually.

The Intern - easy to view, a quiet, calm film

Films with Robert De Niro in them are usually good.

It wasn't Oliver Stone's best work (JFK was), but it was interesting.

I've never cared much for him, Walken, Penn, Thornton; so I usually don't see their movies.  However, I did see Taxi Driver when it came out and thought De Niro was excellent in it.

SPOILER ALERT for the Alien Quadrilogy ...

I had a similar beef with Alien Resurrection and the whole premise that a DNA sample taken in Alien3
would create a Ripley clone that included the alien queen that had been gestating in her in Alien3:O_o:

That's not how it works.  That's not how any of this works!  :soapbox:
"I'm finding a lot of things funny lately, but I don't think they are."
--- Ripley, Alien Resurrection

"We are grateful for the time we have been given."
--- Edward Walker, The Village

People forget.
--- The Who, "Eminence Front"

The grim, bleak, depressing crime thriller Triple 9 recently played on pay channels.
Aaron Paul is in it, so I skipped the gory bits and watched him playing another fragile lost soul.

Beauty and The Beast.  Worth the Imax 3-D upgrade.  It seemed to be a better 3-D experience.  Watch out for the snowball!

Great sets, Gaston, nice wrap-up as the spell ends. Makes the animated version seem cartoonish (yeah, I know, bad pun.)

I didn't have any problems with the comments that it brought modern (Feminine Equality) ideas, gay ideas (Le Fou is great), etc. into the plot.  It's a fairy tale and was mostly that.

The PR was ENTHRALLED.  Well worth the years long wait.

Yesterday, we re-re-re-re .... watched "On Golden Pond"  for the first time in about five or six years.

Great film!

Jimi Hendrix: When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace.

Ghandi: Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

The end result of life's daily pain and suffering, trials and failures, tears and laughter, readings and listenings is an accumulation of wisdom in its purest form.
