Looks like Pele's hair in a crystal ball.  A fascinating form of fibrous lava.  I nearly bought a reticulated quartz skull once, but the price was a little too steep for me at the time.

Yeah I find anything carved into a skull is way over priced. I try to stay away from them, and Sphere's although I do have a few spheres.

Here is a 5.9 ct Peridot from Pakistan I recently purchased

I doubt that, you are a very serious collector!  Me, I am a scrounger and casual collector.  Though I must admit, the find of my collection is a hunk of white quartz with red, smoky and citrine crystals all over it.  You need a jewelers loop to see them as crystals.  I found it on my best friends property laying in the leaf litter and brought it home.    The rock in my avatar was found on the shores of the St. Lawrence river seaway.  It's water smoothed, deep green in color with black gemmy inclusions also very noticeable under a jewelers loop.

Nice collection.  I pick up stuff when I see it out hiking, at estate sales and I inherited some stuff.   When I was a kid the Herkimer Diamond mine was on the list of places we visited every year when we went to New York and I still have some rocks from there being the hoarder I am :green:
