  ^  I love that show.

I am listening to a show about the Iceman, the 5,300-year-old mummy.
He climbed to 11,000' in the mountains before his killers caught up to him.
He hustled hard to stay alive.  He was  BRAVE !   :arrr:

Show's almost over, and at this point they are saying the Iceman was killed
by someone he knew, someone who surprised him, not by a band of pursuers.   :orly:

How did he die?

From the Wikipedia entry (since I wanted to be sure I understood correctly):

"Currently it is believed that death was caused by a blow to the head, though researchers
are unsure if this was due to a fall, or from being struck with a rock by another person."

The Iceman was shot in the shoulder with an arrow at some point, so perhaps blood loss
contributed to weakness and a fatal fall.  The Iceman was  BRAVE !   :arrr:

He was actually in Italy before the Romans. I was surprised to find out that the "Romans" (Rome didn't exist back then at all) settled down in Italy as late as 1000 B.C. In comparison Germanic or Proto-Germanic tribes settled in what is now Sweden 6000 years ago or even 10000 years ago.

Otzi  (the Iceman)  stayed preserved in those mountains for 5,300 years!   :arrr:

Nigellissima on the BBC. Just think when she would present the cooking show naked it would be a lot more interesting.  :bounce: Okay, not very practical (boobs above hot pans) but..

Well, the cooking isn't a must if it isn't practical. ;D

Yes, but then it would be a completely different show, I reckon. Um, thinking now, we could ask if she could do a gardening show next season.. in her Eve costume.

Oh, not that I fancy her that much though. /disclaimer
