Yeah. my mind really enjoys picturing the details that a movie or tv series cuts out.  I have seen some movies equal or even exceed the books.  Shawshank Redemption is one.  The Princess Bride is another..........that book sucked.  Fortunately, that is a very rare thing.  But, for the Princess Bride, I would say they captured lightning in a bottle with the casting, directing and the script.  The Green Mile was also a better movie than the book.  Great script, acting and directing. 

I have 2 biographies to go thru before I reach it.  One of them is about Marlon Brando and it is a ponderous tome.   :o

Watched "Ad Astra" yesterday. A rather slow and dull experience, IMHO. Plus, they got orbital mechanics all wrong.
