Spot on. Blanking strangers means I literally don't look and don't respond and don't acknowledge them in any way if they try and talk to me or anything else like that.

I do that too!  Unfortunately, its not just strangers.  Someone will say something to me, and I'll hear it and think about it, but not say anything back about it...  I didn't know the process had a name but I'm glad it does.

My response of blanking seems to be driven more by anger and also by a need to remain detached from a world I find so difficult to be in at times...well, all of the time actually lol.
