I could never claim to know what this place was about, since I am such a late-comer, but once I arrived, it became a bit more difficult every single day to be rid of me.
The main problem with our democracy experiment was that the board became a board about how to run a board. Plus, of course, that people wanted an admin spot so they could generate new drama. Nothing wrong with either, but it's not what this place was supposed to be about, IIRC.
Aw c'mon, it was fun. And I think something people needed to get out of their systems, the switching admins. Take some of the mystique out of it, after the drama of the original site.
Some of it was fun, sure, but it all became too much when Cal became obsessed about it.

I miss the switching admins. It helped to get a feel for people.

Thanks both - not sure if I'm staying. Really I dropped in out of curiousity to see how things currently are. They seem a little more sedate.
