We have this vacated home diagonally across the alley that is being renovated. The electricity must be off over there, because the construction crew have this HUGE generator, sitting out by the street, going night and day.

I am getting tired of hearing that damn noise at all hours!

The house next to mine (adjacent lot) is being stripped bare. Lots of noise.
In the garden a blackbird found the cut up old apple I put there for him.
Ice that was formed overnight is slowly melting. The hollyhock still blossoms as if it is summer.

It's stormy. The sirens went off last night with warnings of coastal flooding and to move cars to higher ground for the people who live a little closer to the beach than I do
