enough wind to knock your hat off and dark as dusk almost all day. relief from the heat is nice, though.

There is an inaccessible marsh fire east of us.  For the past 3 days we've been getting smoke depending on the wind direction.  Quite hazy at times.  There may be enough rain on Thursday to put it out.

I'm afraid the laundry I have hanging out to dry will smell like it.  Might have to re-wash it, ugh.

Couldn't find the 'Freaky ass weather' thread so I'm posting it here.. um, on a clouded/grey day..

Yep, it's official now. We had the wettest Summer (meteorological/June, July and August) since 1906. Bizarrely it followed the driest meteo. Spring since mentioned year also.

^Strange indeed.

We have had a wetter winter than last year but still not up to average. It started out warm and sunny today (23C) but now it is raining.

Tropical disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico.  Will bring some wind and rain, but not anything like a hurricane.

Tropical Storm Lee is pissing on us again.  And I actually heard thunder (at least I think it was thunder) which is unusual with TS or hurricanes.

We had summer yesterday, hot and sweaty. Last night was the first night since April that I slept with only a sheet to cover me. Till then a blanket or a duvet still was comfortable.

Today it was rain till somewhere in the afternoon. Then we had a dry spell again.

Wonder what tomorrow will bring.
