Yup, I'm living in the town I grew up in right now. I decided to wait to move back to Minneapolis, because of having to skip this semester. Rural farm community. A lot of corn, soybeans and sugar beets. I'm waiting on the soybeans to start coming in, because I have a good job lined up with a hybrid seed company when they do.

You have no idea how giddy this makes me. I come from a corn/horse family (Clydesdales) in a piddley little town in southern ontario. I go back there every summer because it's where I feel most comfortable. My Uncle is the former chairman of the OCPA (Ontario Corn Producing Assoc).

My dad loved Clydesdales. He raised cattle when I was growing up. I'm not a big fan of horses though... not sure what their purpose is?

My Uncle had the breeding pair for the Budwieser team. That's a good purpose. 8) Not sure if he has them anymore though. He's a breeder and all of his horses are for show.

I think I would have gotten along really well with your Dad.  :-*

But we have machines that are cheaper and more reliable than horses. And you don't have to shovel poop. I still don't get it.

True, was snowing here earlier as well, now it's reverted to be rainy, nasty and miserable.
