Forecast calls for a high of twenty six degrees Fahrenheit (-3.3 C) with snow approaching. The ground is still not yet frozen below the surface, so even though it could snow for the next two days (on and off) we are expecting only about two or three inches of accumulation.

It is 32°F right now.  We have a few inches of snow on the ground and snow is clinging to bare tree branches and evergreens.  It looks like a Winter Wonderland.  It's beautiful.

Colorado is brave!  :arrr:

Ulysses S. Grant was President when the Territory of Colorado was granted statehood into the union of the United States of America, in 1876. (can't get much more brave)
Guess what! That happened less than one month after our Union celebrated our centennial. It had been one hundred years since our great nation had declared its independence from British rule and made it stand.

Colorado became known almost immediately as The Centennial State.

Very brave, indeed! The flags of France, Spain, Mexico and The Republic Of Texas have all flown over Colorado.

I have the state tree of Colorado, Colorado Blue Spruce, growing in my back yard.

There was a TV series about Colorado in Sweden around 1980. I guess in the USA it was sent in 1976. Beautiful landscapes and brave people.  :)

The Norwegian and Danish flags have flown over where I live. We have wild honeysuckle rose as our province flower. It's not that brave, I guess.  :-\
