^Now that's a summer temperature.

13.3 and raining at 3:50pm.

It's unusual that it's been raining since about 8 this morning. We usually get "showers", not rain.

I'm melting for the 4th day in a row.  I am sat in my home office with a fan pointing right at my face.  If I lean out of the fan's immediate path my face is instantly covered in sweat.

I've forgotten what sleep is.

Luckily the British summer only lasts for a week so I'm looking forward to the beginning of the rainy season next week.

Oddly, we have had a very cool (so far) summer.
One little spurt of intolerable heat then much cooler than average for a month. I was out this morning wearing a thick hoodie. It was heavy dew, breezy and 62F/17C. Cool July morning for here.

Had a decent sized thunderstorm move thru last night around midnight, kinda cool laying in bed watching the flashes and hearing the thunder.  It was clear heading home from work.  Just enough to see the waxing moon.  Today, sunny, humid, but, less than yesterday,  At least some of the smoke particles from the western fires got washed out of the air.  There was a major air advisory put out to tell people to limit their exertions as the air quality was pretty bad.

Not even 10am and it's mid 70s.  Mid 80s forecast for most of the day.
