let it snow let it snow let it snow........got a flurry this morning.  Flakes are still flying around and more expected later.  And very windy.  I put my snow brush back in the car.  <sigh>

London is great for tourist sights, not so much for living and working though. This is coming from a resident.

It's topping out at 19 Celsius today, and very bright and sunny.

True. Most of my colleagues lived outside of London and had long commutes. I usually rented a flat while there. Nicer than the cheaper hotels and not that much more expensive.

^my parents were amongst the first working class Londoners to make the exodus northwards  in search of cheaper housing etc.

I have some fond chi;dhood memories of London. but revisiting, the place feels hollow, because nearly all the original Londoners are gone.  Surprised how much i miss 'em TBH, but i'm  now very much aware that it's the people make a place, not the buildings.   The place is now so teeming with rootless cosmopolitans, it's almost as if the tourists took over, lock stock and barrel,  and turned it into a theme park.  Which is very nice for some, i suppose, but it isn't London.

London, like any other place, is what the inhabitants make it to be.

Me, I really miss having access to a good bookshop.
