I miss London. I don't think I'll work there again anytime soon.

London is great for tourist sights, not so much for living and working though. This is coming from a resident.

I used to work there and liked it.

London is okay IF you make plenty of money.

Cost of living reasonably well in London is very high compared to what an average person earns.

It's topping out at 19 Celsius today, and very bright and sunny.

Gorgeous weather. My favourite time of year.

18.1°C and sunny at 11.35am. Supposed to be mostly sunny all week until Friday when there might be some rain. Possibly get to 24°C on Wednesday.

True. Most of my colleagues lived outside of London and had long commutes. I usually rented a flat while there. Nicer than the cheaper hotels and not that much more expensive.

^my parents were amongst the first working class Londoners to make the exodus northwards  in search of cheaper housing etc.

I have some fond chi;dhood memories of London. but revisiting, the place feels hollow, because nearly all the original Londoners are gone.  Surprised how much i miss 'em TBH, but i'm  now very much aware that it's the people make a place, not the buildings.   The place is now so teeming with rootless cosmopolitans, it's almost as if the tourists took over, lock stock and barrel,  and turned it into a theme park.  Which is very nice for some, i suppose, but it isn't London.

London, like any other place, is what the inhabitants make it to be.

Me, I really miss having access to a good bookshop.
