Now THESE are fucking games, man. Most of you probably haven't even seen them probably, but I highly recommend you give them a chance.

That looks kinda like James Pond. I had it for the amiga, I think.

And, yeah, I do agree. Retro games are cool. Especially when they have an infinite lifes cheat. I cant handle getting killed, and having to start again.

Lolno. That's megaman. And part of the nostalgia for me is the frustration of dying, and wanting to whip the game's ass no matter what. I played without cheat codes even as a small child, and beat these games to death.

I had Ghosts and Goblins for the Atari ST, I think. It was a cool game.

I would think games like Ghosts and Goblins were a big influence on Rogue Legacy.

Played it when I was a kid. Remains in my memory as one of the hardest games ever.

I had a cheat code. I cant remember if it gave me infinite lives, or made me invincible. Dont think I ever managed to complete it though. It kept bombing out on me :grrr:

Lemmings 2 on the Mega Drive. Already have the Amiga version, but the music on this version is far superior.

Even with a cheat like infinite lives, you have to play through the game twice. YEAH. When you beat the final boss, it sends you back to the beginning and you have to fight your way back through to actually beat the game.

Lemmings was awesome, until they made that 3D Lemmings. That was just confusing and shit :thumbdn:

I never completed it then. I would have remembered the frustration if I had to replay it over again

I never played Lemmings 3D. I've played Lemmings 3 (was Amiga AGA and PC only), but that was the worst out of the lot IMO.

I remember it all right. Its a fun game, well made, great graphics and control. All around classic. But i'd played it enough for a lifetime as a boy.

I loved Tribes when I was a kid. Was one of my favourite Amiga games. Im sure I came across an android touchscreen version of Lemmings1 or 2 recently, but it was too awkward to pick out the Lemmings with my finger.
Seems like a pretty big design flaw to me. Apart from small kids, my hands are probably smaller than most folk who would play the game :(
