How can you live, without knowing the stuff they make up about the stars?

Maybe help can be found on the internet?

I'm going to the store tonight and getting those magazines!  :pirate:

But the ones married in those magazines will have their divorce described in the new magazines the day after tomorrow.

Nevertheless, I now have the magazines, and I hope I can catch up on the news in time!  :'(

Do you really read them, or drape them on your coffee table, to look like a normal person?

I try to read them, though it's harder to get interested lately.  These people are such idiots.

That is a true first world problem. Spending money on magazines you can't be bothered to read.

The ice cream shop was out of my 2 favourite flavours today. Cookies and orange >:( I had to go with stracciatella and lemon :-\
Perfectly nice, but just not the same >:(

I have never heard of stracciatella. What kind of flavour is that?

It's plain ice cream, with lots of thin flaky chocolate mixed through it.

Since moving here, I've been amazed at the variety of ice cream. Back home, it's mostly just vanilla. It seems to be a national obsession here. I'm becoming a bit addicted.

Wow, that's even less than when I was a little kid, over 40 years ago: Vanilla, strawberry, chocolate or sometimes boerenjongens ijs.

Now there are plenty of flavours at places where they sell icecream that isn't "soft-ice".
When I go to Talamini's they have at least 35 different flavours (on not busy days) often much more. And the assortment is different every time I go there.
But smaller salons have a nice range of flavours to choose from too.
Stracciatella is one of the more common flavours.

I like a certain kind of raspberry pastry at the supermarket, but sometimes the raspberry filling
is very shallow, as if they just drizzled it on instead of loading it on.  They're not even trying.  :'(

This is for the cat: While our power was off, Liam wanted to drink out of his water fountain which is on the bathroom bench next to the sink. It normally has a stream of flowing water coming out of its spout. But not while the power is off. So he had to drink out of the tap which I turned on for him. He kept looking at his fountain as if confused as to why it wasn't working.

At least he has staff to help out in the hard times.  ;)

I did live in Portadown. Everything there is about 80 years behind the times

Unless you went into a specialist ice cream shop, you would be lucky if you could even get "proper" vanilla ice cream >:( In Northern Ireland, there is a strange obsession with "soft serve" ice cream :thumbdn: I've never really liked it.

The stuff is called soft-ice here. Not something I like. structure is wrong, taste is incredibly boring in an intense way. And it is way too salt. Probably to cover up that it does not taste well in itself.

Almost every snackbar in the Netherlands sells it in summer I  think.

when i was a kid my sister and i would walk down to baskin robbins about a half mile away and both of us would get chocolate mousse royale and eat the whole pint on the way home.

sigh, there is a new version of my stanley vacuum mug, which keeps things cold all day if i put ice. dunno about hot. stanley puts a lifetime guarantee. nothing wrong with the old one.

i am having trouble thinking of excuses to get the new one which is hammertone green. in honor of their anniversary they came out with an all stainless and that's the only stanley i have left so i have nothing in hammertone....aha.
