Yes. Assuming it's forever and ever love, from the perspective of an adult woman, it's seems odd to remove a school-aged minor from the home when waiting a couple of years for marriage isn't a long time.

I agree, wasn't sure what leave worthy meant though. Taking a child from the family home is very odd. You can see why Gareth is dominated by her, she has had the upper hand from the start.

Fun fact. Amy is actually Amber and her maiden name is Roberts. Apparently all contact with Gareth's parents was cut off when he left the family home.
