I recently came across my grandmother's drip coffee pot.  The picture is from a website. 



All I need to do is sew a bag to hold the coffee grounds (Mom always used pant pocket material) and I should be making coffee the way it should be made.

Using disposable filters. And, there are disposable filters to fit that filter of yours too, QV.

Ah, but Grandma Janin, her daughter, Grandma Teenie and my Mom were all Capricorns.  The idea of anything disposable never entered their minds.  I don't think my Mom ever used a whole roll of paper towels in her life.
