yes, it is very pretty there Jack. I used to live right in the center of it, and am now about 20 miles away and miss seeing it everyday

Yes. That castle is great. Went from an area with no light pollution to a blank sky. Took a couple of years to get used to it. Though the night sky still feels like something wrong above me every now and then.

I was also all over the southside today, right across the river. It is the "nicer" side to go on :D . pretty too, it has weird shops there. There is a big mountain over there, and neighborhoods go up the hill, slowly getting more and more ghetto :d IVe lived all over the city  :santa:

That last picture is nice. :)

Have been at GA's place today and she is taking online mental illness tests. I do not think this is a good idea. She has recently self-diagnosed herself with Bipolar. I do not agree with her.

Same. It's been more than 30 years that I lived without light pollution.

I can see a few stars, but, it's not the same. And I do miss the sensation of real darkness a lot.

A powercut makes me smile, aside of the nuisance it brings. Because of the darkness.

We went to see the Harry Potter movie in 3-D.

I received a free ticket when I donated blood on Thursday.  I'll probably pay the upgrade to see it in IMAX.  Was it worth it in 3D?

I think that this one was worth the extra $3, since the whole movie was in 3-D as opposed to just the beginning.

So you did like the movie? My friend has already seen it twice.

I wish to see it in 2D as I can't see in 3D but I think the movie is only out in 3D over here.

Woke up. Put on coffee. Started the laptop. And here I am, now.

I did enjoy it.  There are some minor discrepancies from the book, but nothing too radical.

Here, almost every theater seems to have it in both 3-D and 2-D, with more than one screen devoted to 2-D so it shows every half-hour or so.  We got there early, but only waited in a very short line.  Then we went to Burger King and came back shortly after the seating started for the 3-D movie to make sure we could get good seats together.  We didn't really need to bother, since the theater was only about half to three-quarters full.  That may be because we saw it in our local theater, which is considered less desirable because it doesn't have stadium seating.

Went to an estate sale at my brother in law's parents house near where I lived when I was young.
