Took the Princess Royal to buy some flowering plants to plant for Earth Day and bought PA and the PR their Easter presents.  Planted most of the plants (still need one flower pot), bought a few groceries, fed the family.

Alcohol is government controlled?  You mean you can't just buy as much as you want?   :orly:

You can buy as much as you want, but the state has a monopoly on everything alcoholic stronger than 2.8%. All beverages with a higher alcohol content that that must be purchased in a store like this:

You'd like the U.S. then!  Here you just walk into any liquor store and buy stuff (with a valid I.D. proving you are at least 21).

I just have to go to Denmark to do that. And there they don't even care about an ID, I'd guess.

Or I could go to Germany, where 14 yo's are allowed to drink beer in bars.  :viking:

The same law in Ontario. What is the legal drinking age there? It's 19 here.

I love how we have a store dedicated strictly to the sale/consumption of beer

Ate ice cream
Had a nap
Picked up easter treats for the kids
Talked to the boy
Cleaned my room

As a child we lived in Houston, Texas.  I remember accompanying my parents to the liquor store to buy alcoholic cheer.  When we would visit New Orleans I realized how silly the liquor store is because you can buy liquor and beer in the grocery and drugstore 24/7.

I remember visiting Houston again in early 2000.  I went to a very nice, large international grocery store and couldn't buy some orange marmalade to bring home to my father-in-law.  It was a Sunday and the marmalade  had a wee bit of Scotch in it.  No liquor sales on Sunday.

It's 20 to buy in that store but 18 to drink in a bar or restaurant. If you drink at home there is no age limit.

I was so slow in the shower just then. It was weird. I was moving in slow motion I think lol

have been in bed most of the day with a headache. Before that been in the garden for a bit and went to matalan and sports direct getting my brother's last minute stuff for his school trip this week. It's the same school trip I went on when I was his age (same school) and they go for a few days. I hope he enjoys it

So there's no laws on contributing to the delinquency of a minor there?
