I watched House tonight, too.

Earlier today, I went to see the doctor who did my ankle surgery and he said it looks like it's healing well.  He let me graduate to wearing the boot instead of the splint, although he said the splint may be more comfortable for me to wear to bed and I still need to be completely non-weight bearing on that ankle for at least the next four weeks.  At least I can take off the boot in the shower and wash the area as soon as my stitches come out in another week.  There are several ink marks on my ankle and lower leg that were made to assure that the correct extremity was operated on.

The surgeon told me that the Osteochondral Defect was quite a bit larger than it appeared to be on the MRI and it was actually Stage 2 instead of Stage 1, so it would never have gotten better on its own without surgery.  As a matter of fact, he thinks it may have gotten worse since the MRI.  I said that it's a good thing we took care of it now, in that case.

I did exactly what I did yesterday, except for the figure skating part.

I started, and finished, my christmas shopping in one day. I think I deserve a fucking medal given that I survived a lineup of 27 people in Best Buy. I drove all over the city.Tomorrow I have to wrap everything.

Woke, did some mail administration, lots of wrongly addressed X-mass stuff :p . Repaired some trousers of my daughter, chatted with the bloke, did dishes and such. Waited for new mail. Got it delivered right before sunset. Did some shopping. Got myself some fish. Got home. Catered myself and the girls. Repaired the back door. Lock-work was rattling. Now I'm posting, while girls watch "The Prisoner of Askaban". May join them soon, for the scary bits.

Went to the GP with the little one, because her fever came back full force. Right in time, pneumonia in an early stage.

Had told their dad that I would not bring the girls to him, because of the youngest not being OK, and invited him here.
While he was with them, I did my job.

Got my groceries, dropped of some flowers at my neighbour.

Came home, ex still spending time with the kids gave me some time to chat.

Ex left, taking some stuff with him he could use and I did not mind being out of my house.

And after that I had a good time with the girls, despite some tantrums from the youngest, and even found some time to chat some more.

Ate something with the ladies.

Got a cleaning and changing spree and gave in to that, while the girls were playing extremely sweet.

Had some time with the girls after that. Toasting with them with bubbly grapejuice.

All that was technically yesterday, but for me it still feels like today.

Girls are sound asleep now, and I take my nightly down-time.

* Woke up early, prayed for my Gram, went back to sleep
* Woke up by a phone call saying she had go into OR, went back to sleep
* Posted on I2
* Went back to sleep
* Woke up and had a shower
* Texted the boy
* Went to the hospital
* Spent 4 hours with my Gram, lots of TLC, called and talked to the ex and the kids
* Came back to the hotel and talked to my parents
* Had a bubble bath
* Watching SYTYCD and having a cocktail
