My husband has baked muffins over an open fire, using a Dutch oven.

this is just using the pancake pan over a very low flame on my hob.  i didn't think it would work, but it does.  the gods know what recipe i'm using, though - i'm just chucking things in a bowl and stirring.  :rofl:

the cakes aren't moist and dense like real cakes - they're much lighter, for a start - but they're a reasonable facsimile.

Tomorrow I have to make something to get every last drop of it out of the buckets too expensive to waste

I had some cheese on toast and got pissed off at noise

Shovelled some more snow.   :P Our winter totals have now gone over 121 inches with more coming.  Ski resorts are having banner years in the Northeast.
