If you can afford to keep buying alkalines, they give a higher voltage than NiMH (1.5v vs 1.2v), so electric motors will run faster.  I've got a whole bunch of NiMH batteries that won't power up my cameras anymore, since 1.2v is pretty borderline to start with and they've aged to the point where they can't supply enough voltage even when fully charged.
I know rechargeable have less voltage to them, but not all people need the highest possible RPMs on their vibrators to achieve climax.  :P

Couldn't alkalines be a special treat for when you want that little bit extra?  Maybe guys should be bringing girls flowers, chocolates and top-brand alkalines on Valentine's day.

I wasn't too thrilled about it at the time, but, in retrospect, the four boxes of sex toy batteries my ex got me for some romantic holiday or other probably *was* one of the better gifts I've gotten from a guy.
