Ren is your country not on self quarantining?
I don't think so. The Salvos' job is to serve the community, as I was told by my supervisor. We had quite a few customers, but a little less than usual. I had to wash my hands often because I was processing donations and hanging clothes. I may have a great immune system just by working there.
Our Salvos closed immediately because of the virus and so many things arriving from so many places. That's bizarre that they're keep yours open. I hope your immune system stays strong  :viking:

Not go to the gym.  :bigcry:

The cub will love it though, I'll try to spend lots of time swinging him around.

Driving over to Leeds to drop off some hard to get supplies for my daughter. The panic buying up here is still fucking ridiculous.  :GA:

Make another attempt at just getting a weeks worth of groceries. We can't seem to get even that much.

It's back to work for me. Worried they might put the project on hold for a while, though, or even cancel it altogether. Fucking virus.

Is there any kind of expectation for people to stay home or is it mostly business as usual? You guys are just above us in the number of cases.

Presumably go to work. I doubt my bosses would let everyone enjoy a statewide lockdown.

Anyone else in quarantine forgetting which day of the week it is?? We have a big wipe off calendar in the kitchen where I post the schedule for the week so we know where everyone is/needs to be, who is working what shifts etc. I went to put up this weeks and there is exactly nothing outside of taking out the recycling on Thursday  :P

Everyone who is able to is expected to work from home. Businesses cut down on staff and people are being laid off. That latter category now includes me since my client postponed the project I was part of. Hopefully there's more work coming up but everything seems to be on pause now.

So no; it's nowhere near business as usual.

The number of cases is going up but so far the powers that be seem to think the current restrictions are enough. I happen to disagree. I believe draconian measures are needed pretty much all over Europe if we are to save lives and not overwhelm the healthcare system.

It's not recommended that we go out but I need to get dry cat food. I get it from a big pet store. I'm hoping that they will be open.

I agree. Today only essential services is open but when you look at the list it's over 70 different types of businesses and some of the fields are quite broad. I get that they need to keep vulnerable people taken care of (senior, retirement, group homes), healthcare and all the supplies running, manufacturers that make the supplies for other essential businesses running. But the list is so vast that I was trying to think of what wouldn't be open because that seems to be smaller list.
